tonight I really opened my eyes to the issue of gay rights in this country. I really think that to effectively get rid of the violence and stigma that is associated with the gay movement we will have to stop this passive aggressive attitude towards the issue at hand.
We talk about colorblindness being a problem within our nation. "I just dont even think about their color when I am talking to a person." Well the truth is their "color" is a part of who thy are.
If we can not really discuss someone's sexuality then we can never really accept a person for who they are. The gay community has painful, discriminating stories that need to be heard by the normative, heterosexual community to be accepted.
This is the bigger issue at hand. Gay marriage can never be accepted until we can understand this aspect of a human being first. This is how we have begun to move away from the stigma of race and we should show the same respect for the gay community.
In Kentucky, at least, we should be able to have programs in which teachers are allowed to encourage the gay rights movement. Begin a club in which people are able to let their sexuality be known and also find other people that might share their struggle against THE NORM...

This is primarily an issue of exploitaton. If we are able to look passed race and look at what is really going on we would see that racism is a social contruct to literally strip anyone of color of their wealth without feeling guilty about it.
Education in schools is a perfect oppurtunity to create a reality for students to see that race is something our government historically put in place. Cointelpro is a perfect example of one of the subjects we should bring to light in schools.

When you started to discuss the Government and its involvement in the psyche of the American people in the 1970's my mind immediately wandered to this idea of Cointelpro. The government has very meticulous plans for how to keep revolutionary ideas from occuring. Of course this is true, without a doubt.

There are just so much we can do without thinking about the repurcussions of living in a society under governmental restraints.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with this idea here is a little insight. It is very educational and if you are not familiar please take the time to check this out. This is only a link to part one of this film.

What type of energy would really be the most efficient(cost wise, environmentally, whatever you wish to touch on)? How would you like to use this type of energy (create plants, pour money into advancements)? Post a platform and let peopel vote on it!

If you think Racial segragation is still an issue how do you propose to deal with it? Do we offer scholarships to those who are underprivileged and of another color? Do we put money in segregated communities,ghettos? How do we face this issue?

Where should our money be invested? Technology in weaponry advances, space stations, environmental improvement, transportation advancements? How do we want our country to improve?

As a nation what should our stance be on Gay marriage? Should the country interfere with the union of two peopleor is it a blastpheme of a christian nation? What should the regulation be on this matter? Post a platform and have others vote on it!

How should we deal with this dying social program? Should we forget it all together or should we get money from elsewhere and try to salvage what we have? How do we prevent it from running out?

More and more technologies have emerged for environmental advances. Post a way to get the nmoney for these advances and where we should put the money? In alternative fuels? In preservation of land? In solar energy? Where should the money go? Set up a platform and have people vote on it!

Everyone has an opinion on this topic. Where should we go from here? Can we leave? Should we leave? If not what do we do there to keep the government in place? If we do leave how do we do it effectively? Start a post. Platform it! Have people vote on it!!

What is the primary need protection from in this country? How do we need to go about protecting the US? Start a post and try to get others to vote for your idea.

Genocide in Darfur has been a big issue within our global community. Should we step in or should we allow them to continue in their own turmoil? You make the call. Set up a plan for putting soldiers in place, how many, when or set up a platform in which we do not. Both must be convincing to effectively get votes.

Where do we put the money? What systems should be put in place for poorer communities and richer communities alike? How do we get kids to stay in schoo? What are the most effective skills we need to implement in schools? How do you propose we do this? Is standardized testing effective? If not how else should we be teaching children?

How do we dig ourselves out of this recession? Do we let the system ride its course or do we help those who are effected by their banking situation. If we do help them how do we do so? If not how else should we deal with it? start a post and let other people post on your ideas.

How do we set up our welfare? How do we regulate that. Plenty of peoplecomplain about those who take advantage of welfare. How are we to regulaate this? Come up with a platform and have others vote on your idea.

With all the recent buzz on health care surely someone can come up with a health care system in which we can efficiently run within this country, or maybe you can propose an old or current one. Who is going to be essentially in charge of distribution? Who's paychecks should be cut? Where should we put the money and why? What should we do? Start a post, an idea, a platform.

Give me your insight on a shiny new immigration system. How many people would you permit in to this country? What would ber the regulations for letting them in? What would be the restrictions put on them until they becaem members of this country? Post your idea (platform) and start a poll.
